Project timeline: Spring 2015- Fall 2016
Underutilized road that is transforming into a vibrant “B Street” of activity in the Village of Williamsville, N.Y., while serving as a model of green infrastructure and stormwater management.
“Dead areas” are becoming a hub of activity centered around the restored 1811 Williamsville Water Mill and a “Village Square” pedestrian plaza with a farmer’s market and events.
Opportunities for small shops and infill development near the rushing waters of Glen Falls at the core of vibrant pedestrian environment and main gathering place in the heart of the village.
Funds secured for green infrastructure and streetscape with permeable pavers, a subsurface water filtration and collection system and bio-retention swale for stormwater filtration. Also includes build-out of public plaza area and creation of an inviting gathering/event space.
