Wading Pool Attendants
The role of the Wading Pool Attendant is to provide a safe and enjoyable experience at our wading pools. The Wading Pool Attendant works with patrons to ensure an understanding of the pool rules. The Wading Pool Attendant has complete authority with the emphasis on safety first.
Wading Pool Rules
For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, the following rules apply at both Village of Williamsville wading pools:

Wading Pool Closures
A wading pool may be closed throughout the day if any of the following conditions arise:
Bathing Capacity at Wading Pool – 75 bathers
Wading pools are great places for children to cool off on a hot summer’s day.
If you see the American flag posted at the pool shed, the pool is open.
2016 Wading Pool Season
The Garrison Park and Island Park wading pools open on Friday, June 17, 2016, and will be open through late August. Pools are kept open as long as possible, but are determined by Pool Attendant availability, as most are college students returning to school in August. Pool closing date(s) will be posted later in the season.
Wading Pools are open daily 11am-7pm, but may close from 5pm-5:30pm.
Garrison Park Wading Pool
This wading pool is located in Garrison Park, at the corner of Garrison Road and Park Drive.
Besides the wading pool, park facilities include a playground, several picnic tables, a sandbox, and a basketball court. There is no restroom in this park, but there is a port-a-john. There is an open air gazebo that is open to the public unless it is being used by the Town of Amherst Recreation Department’s Summer Program or it is rented. Island Park Wading Pool
This wading pool is located in Island Park, which is behind the Main Street municipal buildings of Williamsville Village Hall, the Town of Amherst Municipal Building and the Williamsville Branch Library. The nearest cross street is S. Cayuga Rd. There is a stand-alone restroom building in the park, along with several picnic tables, grills and a playground.
